Busy - I like it!

Did I say that I really love being busy?? Well now I am!
I have two big tasks at the Uni, and two other big ones coming up! Knowledge, konwledge and more knowledge! Gimmie Gimmie Gimmieee!
I'm getting better from my unhealthy days, so it feels that my voice is running back to life, cool, maybe I will be able to sing again soon, frustrating of being tune dead...!
And I miss dancing!! I will really dance a lot these days, many parties and outgoings coming up! Nice! Both here, in Stockholm and at Secret Destinations! Woot Woot!

Hmm, it just snowed for 3 minutes! Even if the sky is blue!!!! Hehe as I wrote in one of my previous blog texts the weather follows your mood. I'm quite crazy today, so that's why it's shining and snowing at the same time! haha!
Hmm, Snow and Sun again together! Awsome! And Cold! But no way Im taking the cap and gloves yet, it's still October!!! Sun Pride!

I'm fascinated about how I can be so energic today even If I didn't sleep so well at all last night!
I'm reading a spooky tingled ghost novel and of course I usually read books before I sleep, in my bed, late at night, hmm...
This is a new book from Sarah Waters, " The little stranger", and until now I find it really good!

"In a dusty post-war summer in rural Warwickshire, a doctor is called to a patient at lonely Hundreds Hall. Home to the Ayres family for over two centuries, the Georgian house, once grand and handsome, is now in decline, its masonry crumbling, its gardens choked with weeds, the clock in its stable yard permanently fixed at twenty to nine. Its owners – mother, son and daughter – are struggling to keep pace with a changing society, as well as with conflicts of their own."

But are the Ayreses haunted by something more sinister than a dying way of life? Little does Dr Faraday know how closely, and how terrifyingly, their story is about to become entwined with his."

It's a really nice chilling story, perfect for the autumn season! the story in the book develops through summer and winter so it fits great!
Anyway I had problem falling at sleep, it became very spooky indeed in the middle!

I'm normally read two books/month sometimes more, and I really like to change genre, from thriller to romantic novels, from history books to adventure stories! It's an imagination training where you can just jump in another person, or another way of life wherever you like!

My home is the World

Another calm day, another day of rest, but I have decided that this is my last day of resting, now I'm healthy and strong enough to go back to my ordinary life. I'm relieved! I have so many things to do and I must ask the time to give me more hours/ day!

Even if I go back to my ordinary days, I'm not an ordinary person. Acutally no one is. Everyone is special and each day is unique for each of us.
I don't have just one place to call home, the entire world for me is my home. Where my family is, my love is, the places of great memories are, places where I grew up, places that made me sad and happy, places where people remember my name are my home.

Jämtland is more close at heart because it's the only place that has never changed, and where I have kept my childhood secrets and stories. I wish I was there now, by the lake and admiring the strong autumn colors of the woods. My grandparents become so real again at soon as I get there, making me happy!

Bari is where my family live, and where they are is always home, I grew up in Italy and plenty of my roots are still there, half of me is italian, and that's why I really miss the warm culture and the traditions. I wish I could be there, see my cousins' children grow, talking about everything with my sisters, spending my time with my parents and eat the great food!

Bali is where my new home is, where I can feel free, where my soul rests. In Asia I'm not swedish nor italian, I'm just a foreigner. But there I can feel the balance of both culture that embrace my personality. That's why I feel home and welcome. I met many good friends, and learned meaningful things there. The simple, calm sense of life meets the organized chaos under a sky of gods.

Blue through Grey

How can the sky be blue if it's covered by clouds? An extraordinary light effect this evening. I use to see clouds getting light pink from the sunset, but the sun today didn't make it through! Well, thank you clouds for giving us a blue, pastel colour, instead av the common Mr. Grey.
It says that the sky is the mirrow of our feelings, that actually everyone sees the sky in different colours. My heart is very blue today, so maybe that's why the clouds make me company in my today's mood.

My fever is better today, but I can't talk so loud, and my cough is bad, with more rest, and more medicine I will be just fine. No hospital for me.
But those hours doing so little make me feel so blue. My brain can't focus on anything, and I just want to rest. I really dislike to just leave the days passing by without personal progress. Now I have so much lessons to take ahead, and many tasks to write. But everything has its solution, so I don't feel stressed...

"You are sure sleeping, while I'm at the office, another busy day, days are getting colder without you. I hope I will see you soon dear,,,"

I just recieved this little thought today from him! I felt much better knowing he's thinking about me! I know that the days must be so busy and long, and he's really working hard, he almost doesn't have time for himself, and I admire him. The situation over seas is difficult, with him not knowing if he will take over his family business or not..and with everything that follows with it...

Missing someone is a feeling to cherish. Even if it often brings up sadness, it keeps the heart warm and tender. I'm glad that I miss him, even if I don't know when we will see each other again, I'm thankful for this feeling. So if you are missing someone special, miss that special person everyday with a smile!

Melancholic Day

Kiss the rain - Yiruma- is the soundtrack of today.

I'm having a very bad cold, my fever doesn't want to calm down even if I took the right medicine, so maybe if this doesn't pass I must go to the hospital...
I should been heading to the Sweden Rock Cruises, I paid and made plans with my friends, but I must stay home, pretty depressing, isn't it?
So here I am, dizzy, melancholic, thinking about my life and admiring the rain.
The day is still young and I don't have energy left, so I will cook me some tasty "Pasta ai Funghi" watch a cozy movie, and maybe learn som Yiruma notes. My piano misses me.
My mom does Pasta ai Funghi really well, and today is her name's day, so I will think of her the most.

And I remember You.
I remember that september day, we were eating out, and when we went out the restaurant it was raining really hard, but we didn't care, so we walked hand in hand under the rain and just smiled at each other...we couldn't stop laughing at all.

Missing my family and missing You this rainy day

A Tuesday by the Pool

The relaxing hours continue, and I'm so relaxed after this day!
We went to Gajah Putih, our friend's villa, and just chilled out by the pool for some hours. Ah so nice!
It wasn't so hot today, part cloudy, so it was perfect to lay down and enjoy the sun!
The sea is just a few meters from the villa so while you're by the pool you can watch the waves from afar. Although the Canggu sea is not the best for chillin' but great for surfing.

Laying there made me thinking of why do I still live in Sweden when there are so many other countries with better weather..?!! Well, I'm not the kind of person who likes to complain...but...you know...I'm not a big fan of rain and snow for the most part of the year!

I thought about my future, that I really want a family one day and a great job that I enjoy, I want to write better songs, caring even more about the world around me and explore it more of course too.
Many thoughts flew in my mind while I liestened to the waves. But the most important thought was that my family needs me and I need them. I'm too far away from them. And the days are passing by, the time runs fast and without knowing it, it will be too late. Well, actually I believe in reincarnation, but I'd rather spend my time now with my family in a space that I know about, then in an insicure future. How funny would it be to spend time with my beloved ones as a frog? I can't judge that now though, haha! But humans sound funnier indeed!

Anyway, I want to be more close to my family, and I will figure it out how soon.
(Today it is even my sister's birthday and I can't be close to her...Sad!)

I heared today that one of the gardners of Gajah Putih is at the hospital because of one mosquito bite! He has very high fiver and slept for 5 days. I really hope he will be better soon. The mosquito is a "tiger one" with white and black stripes, and very hungry..Gaah that is not a good one. Poor guy. I'm really thankful that I have a big gecko under my bed often at nights. So he can take good care of the mosquitos!

Here in Canggu is time to cozy myself into bed, read a couple of pages and fall asleep!

Good Night world!

Relax & Shopping

These first two days in Bali have been full of relax! I have a little jetleg to take off me so relaxing is what fits best now! I came to Bali in the first place to enjoy time with my family, I love spending time with them! So more I can do it, happier am I! I'm glad that my parents are such good friends to have fun with! Now I even reloaded my Indo phone so I can reach my friends here! Bagus!

Yesterday we started the day with a long walk on the beach while we stopped at Echo beach to take a cup of Espresso. (Once italian, always italian!) Lovely to sit by the ocean and just enjoying the view and the great surfing! Two good friends of us came over for lunch, we had a lot to talk about and this couple is so exciting that is always nice to meet them! They are italians too, but lived here in Bali for around 12 years. I can tell you that they are "sun-bringers": People with always a smile on their faces and up on top friendly!! Me and her have already decided to take a Spa evening next week!

I took my relax time and had one hour massage! Ah! it was amazing! My back is much better now! It is so in pain after all the sitting here and there! Bali will for sure fix me up! Hoi!

Today after I woke up six o'clock (jetleg?) and read a couple of hours we went to Discovery Shopping Mall in Kuta. It was cloudy/rainy so it was perfect to just walk around shops! We walked by the beach too, near all the hotels and ate a very delicious balenese lunch! I bought a pair of shorts and some Dvds! Now me and mom are prepared to watch girly comedies and have a cozy time!

Bali, Finally at home!

It's amazing the feeling that Bali brings me. As soon as I arrived yesterday I felt home. Even if my parents were there and wherever they are it's like home to me, Bali is special, it makes it easy to feel welcome. I missed the air, the nature, the culture, the people so much!

The trip started very smoothly from Stockholm to London, actually great served food, and the time went by very fast. I was so worried the night before because of Mr. Volcano. But he wanted to rest, thank god!
London Heathrow was crowded as always. It's funny how people wait in front of the gate planner for their gate number to show up even if their gates open after about 20-30 minutes! I had just 5 minutes until my gate would open, so I didn't have the time to walk through the expesive shops. I like it when I don't have to wait for long, but It's always entertaining to windowshop!

It was a veeery long flight to Singapore. It felt longer for me because I couldn't sleep at all! And I didn't drink coffee and no child cried! Sometimes you just can't, and the time stopped. But I had fun too. I watched Sherlock Holmes, a very great movie, I laughed very often and sometimes I woke up my sitting neighbour because of that...hmmx. It's Complicated was on my instant movie menu too. Meryl Streep is great as always!

The service on the plane was at the top! Singapore Airlans is one of the best flight companies. But they must think that everyone is constantly hungry!! They came all the time with snacks, food, beverages...wow!

Lot of traffic was at Singapore Changi Airport, so we had to wait for 15-20 min. more until we could land. And I just had 30 min to run to the gate for my next flight to Bali. I met a very nice girl from London that was on her way to Bali too so we made each other company.
And I'm so thankful for that because when we arrived in Bali we had to wait in a queue for 3 hours!!! Just for getting the Visa, now at the airport they take the picture and fingerprints on everyone. There were 1 person for each queue. So imagine 5 planes that arrived at the same time and they spent ca. 10 min for each person to pass by....Pffff.

But finally I could hug my parents again, my bag was there, and I could enjoy my first night at home!

Saya senang sekali! - I'm very happy!

Sad Love Story

" You gave me everything. Even if for a few months you gave me such a feeling that I can't even describe. Love comes when you less expect it, this time it was really unplanned. Two persons from two entirely different parts of the world together in this unique city. It's a sad love story, because faster than soon it will be over. I will carry your love deep inside. Our memories together are engraved in my heart."
- Forever yours-

My best friend

I've known her for 15 years, and I still consider her my best friend, like if she is my own sister, one of the most important person in my life. I remember when I went time to time to Sweden, she was the first person that I started to talk to. Even when I moved there she was my closest friend. She was always kind to me and many of my best memories are with her.
She always makes me smile, she's there for me when I need to talk to her, and I know that I can trust her no matter what.

Nowdays we don't see each other so much at all because we live in different cities, but we talk often on the phone. I'm sad for it. I want to share my most precious moments with her and I miss spending time with her such it'is always a ball!
Even if through the years we had misunderstandings, up & downs etc, I know that our friendship is ment to be! We will be best friends forever.
I hope I can be an honorable and honest friend to her too, a person that I can give my shoulder to lean on when she needs it, a sister that she can trust.

I give you Sandra an orange rose (even if in the picture it looks pink!). Orange is the colour of a trustful and important friendship!

Thank you for being my best friend!

Where am I?

"I closed my eyes after a long day and found myself in a beautiful place. Everything looks old but feels strangely familiar. And there is an energy in the air, as if the objects are somehow alive..Where am I?"

Where do the clouds come from?

I ask myself this question many times. Where do all those clouds come from?
It was such an amazing weather just this morning! And now the clouds are here again. I hope they are just passing by without raining...
It's like the clouds from all over the world stop here over the middle of Sweden and have meetings after meetings after meetings....
I wanted to get up early, but I really couldn't. I woke up 7 a.m. with a terrible headache! (No, I didn't party last night!) so I slept a couple of hours more, just to wake up with headache again, but after some coffee and a slowmotion awakening I became myself again.

My new credit card came with the mail. Finally! I had one that looked as a car drove on it several times..Now the new one shines! woot woot!
Just with a simple phone call I asked for a new one last Thursday. So easy!

I bought flowers today! Tulipans. The tulipans'season is almost over so I wanted to enjoy them a little bit more! Actually I bought a pink rose too. I read in a old english fairy book that a pink red rose brings magic at home. So let's see what happens!
Thinking about it, that it's always magic when I eat. I love to eat! and to cook! For lunch I made a simple spring salad with bresaola, mozzarella cheese, asparagus, tomatos, red onion and cucumber! All together with olive oil, pepper and salt. Gnam!

Look!! It's magic! The clouds are gone!

Cozy Lunch, Sunny Day!

Today it's a very sunny day! It's amazing how spring can bring such happiness! Well, my heart has its own reasons too! His smile makes me tremble!
After taking a shower, checking the e-mails, reading the news
I took a nice walk by the river with my friend and Aramis. So warm outside and peaceful, if you follow the river all the way you can walk for several hours!
The early spring weather changes very fast, so you never know what jacket is best to wear or if you need a scarf. You don't want either to take the jacket off because it's very easy to get a cold. So many that I know are home with fever, sad to miss such a nice day! I really hope they'll get better soon!

"Lingon" is a very cozy Swedish food restaurant just a few blocks from where I live and just near the river. It was perfect to sit there and eat a great lunch after a long walk! Although Aramis had to stay home. I don't think that he would be allowed to eat there with me ^^
A cup of coffee after lunch while sitting outside in the sun is refreshing! But it's easy to forget about the books which are at home on my desk...
So I took the way home when I saw him, outside my porch.

-I missed you. So I'm just passing by to say hi!-

When he smiles I tremble indeed! He had to go to class but I'll see him soon again!
Happy!

These days I miss my Grandmother more than ever. Yesterday it was her birthday and I started dialing her number like usual without thinking. Emptiness. Just emptiness filled my mind and heart. I really miss her. So I lit a candle and thought about our best time together and the things that I adore about her. It felt better. Sometimes you don't need to see a person for feeling she's near you.

Now to the books....

Spring is finally here

My aunt finally could be able to fly back to Italy today as planned. She had her primary flight on last Monday so she waited one week to be able to go back home. I don't complain because I had the chance to have my dear auntie here for a few more days, but I know that she wanted to go back home! Who wouldn't?
We drove to the airport two early mornings in a row for getting information about other possible flights but the ash cloud wanted to stay over the European sky longer than a couple of days.

This Mr. Volcano has caused trouble to so many! And even if he is resting now I'm still quite worried about if I will be able to fly to Bali on Friday! So I'm not preparing anything until the last minute! Though no one can stop me from counting every minute and every second until Friday.

Spring has finally come here to Uppsala! The flowers are coming out from their hiding places, the sun is less shy and birds are singing-a-long!
Sweden has waited for spring very long this year. The winter was long and very cold, even some days ago the snow was falling again!! Even now that we are in the last days of April!
But every season has its charm! Here you can see each season completely with every speciality of it!

I live between three parks and this area is a typical "dog block". Here you can meet so many different dogs and if you plan to go out with your dog at the typical promenade hour you will be stuck in the park talking or waitin for your dog that must say hi to everyone, dog or no dog.
Cats are welcome too!
Yes, I love walks in the park! All the dog owners here are so lovely!

Btw, Isn't this picture wonderful? I just took it today! My sweet dog Aramis posing through a sea of blue spring flowers!

Actually I'm going out now to enjoy the finally so long waited spring!

A multi-cultural girl

If you ask me where I come from..actually I need a few minutes to think about what to answer you. I'm for sure both italian and swedish, completely half/half of these both wonderful cultures. Although I have the issue that when I'm in Italy i feel swedish and when I'm in Sweden I feel more italian. This is a well-known syndrome of being double cultured.

But I'm very greatful for it, so thank you mom, thank you dad, that you fell in love!
Growing up with two so different cultures was not uneasy at all. And it gave me more prospective and views of life that are very useful and important today and for the future.
I'm not closed in one world. I feel home wherever on earth I step my feet on. Different cultures are too beautiful and exciting for just not taking influences from.

I must admite
though that my heart feels asian more and more for everyday.
My family moved for some months a year to Bali (Indonesia) and through their journey I had the chance to know wonderful people, be blessed of outstanding cultures, (Kinese, Japanese,S.korean, etc.) that gave me a stronger feeling of being "fullfield".
I'm feeling that my future would fit great in Asia so I'm doing my best to learn different languages for make my wish esear!

So dear Diary,
I'm Viky, a multi-cultural girl in her 20's who siezes her day the best way she can!
